ABOUT PRIYANKA CHOPRA
Priyanka Chopra was born on 7/18/1982, is a two-time Filmfare Award-winning actor from India who works in Bollywood films.After winning the title Miss India World and later Miss World 2000, Priyanka her acting debut with Anil Sharma's The Hero: Love Story of a Spy (2003) and had his first commercial success with her second album, Andaz same year, for which she won a Filmfare Best Female Debut Award. She won critical acclaim for her negative role in Abbas-Mustan's Aitraaz (2004) and became the second woman in the Filmfare Best Villain Award for her performance in the film. Chopra went on commercial success with films like Mujhe Shaadi Karogi (2004), Krrish (delivered 2006), her biggest commercial success so far, and Don - The Chase Begins Again (2006). Since then she has established itself as one of the most successful and popular actresses in the industry.
Priyanka studied at La Martini Girls' College in Lucknow, as a young girl and later to USA where she was a student at Newton North High School in Newton, Massachusetts and North Delta Senior Secondary School in North Delta before back to India to high school to complete the Army Public School (Bareilly). Jai Hind College, she started College in Mumbai but left after winning the Miss World pageant.Priyanka was crowned Miss India World and later Miss World in 2000. In the same year, won Lara Dutta and Diya Mirza, both from India, Miss Universe and Miss Asia Pacific crowns, in a rare triple.
When she won the Miss World crown, she became the fifth Indian woman to win the title, and the fourth Indian woman to win in a span of seven years.After winning Miss World title, Priyanka became an actress. Her mother comes from a Kayastha Bihari family, while her father comes from a family of Marathi, Bengali, Punjabi and Rajasthani origin. She has one brother, Siddharth, who eight years younger than her. She spent part of his childhood in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, Newton, Massachusetts, and Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Her family moved frequently because her father was in the army.
